Blower door
The figure shows how the air moves in the building when the air door is turned on.
A blower door is a device that creates a negative pressure in rooms during internal thermal imaging inspections, and an overpressure in rooms during external thermal imaging of facades. Without a blower door, thermal imaging diagnostics is impossible when the temperature difference between the building's interior and the outside is less than 15 degrees. Using a thermal imager and a blower door, we can see where air is penetrating through walls, joints, and seams, as well as the quality of the masonry and vapor barriers, and check the installation quality of windows and doors. When a negative pressure is created in a building, the effect of a strong wind is created, and the thermal imager can see the tightness of windows and doors. The most common defect is a leak between the window or door frame and the wall. This space is typically filled with foam, which should not allow air to pass through. The most common causes are poor foaming or poor foam.

Window installation defect
Cold air enters the building through a leak between the window frame and the wall. This defect must be corrected to avoid excessive energy consumption for heating and air conditioning.

Cold air will penetrate through any defects in the wall, leading to economic losses. In this case, it will be necessary to redo the windproofing and seal the roof-wall joints.
